Steven Adolf

Economist Steven Adolf (1959) is a researcher, writer and journalist based in the Netherlands. His love for the Bluefin Tuna, the sea and economics encouraged him to write his first tuna book from a historical perspective, Giant Tuna (2009). Right after he began a research within the project on sustainable tuna fishery policies at Wageningen University. He actually works as an advisor and researcher in the field of sustainable tuna fisheries. Steven has a prolonged experience as editor and correspondent in Spain, Portugal and Morocco for the Dutch daily papers Het Financieele Dagblad, De Volkskrant and NRC Handelsblad, the Dutch weekly magazine Elsevier, and the Belgian newspapers De Morgen and The Standard. He is a best seller author of country portraits books of Spain and Morocco, and a book on Spanish immigration in the Netherlands.
